No Place Like Home!!

So as many may already know, I went to visit my sister this past weekend. I flew down to southern California to throw her what turned out to be one awesome baby shower! when I left Friday morning, I was actually kind of excited. you see this was the first time I've flown on an airplane BY MYSELF, since Payton had been born. I have flown once with out her before. (me and Jeff flew to Florida with out her once) BUT I WAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY BY MYSELF!! I was able to relax, play on the computer, and not have to worry about who needed what or having to entertain someone else! NOPE!! I GOT TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF.

So the weekend was getting off to a pretty good start, plane was on time, got all the shopping done that needed to be done, my sister wasn't late for work :). I'd say things were going pretty well! UNTIL I GOT TO HER HOUSE!! Lani, I love you, but I can kill you husband for making me clean as much as I needed to clean! The house hadn't been touched with a cleaning product when i arrived. So i spent the next 9 HOURS!! THAT'S RIGHT!! NINE #9..9 HOURS cleaning that house.. i started at 4 pm, and didn't finish until 1:30 the next morning. it had to be done though, guests were going to start showing up at 11:00 am the next morning! so we really didn't have time to procrastinate did we?

So my sister had gotten home at 11 p.m.. thankfully she was able to help me finish and we could both get a few hours of sleep lol. so we finished decorating and went to bed.. i think it was around 3 i finally crawled in. Woke up the next morning and got ready for a hectic day!! everyone arrived, partied, and left!! lol IT WAS PERFECT!

Sunday (the day after the baby shower) Lani and I went through the gifts, took back the duplicates and triplicates to the store. you'd be surprised at how many there were!! and she was able to get the rest of the things she needed before the baby got here. she is due in about 4 weeks.

Monday was a very relaxed day, lounged around the house.. took a few naps.. bored most of the time lol! it was sooo weird not having Payton to take care of, and being by myself for pretty much a full day.. (lets just say.. i didn't like it) i missed her so much, and i actually missed over hearing Jeff's conference calls in the other room. It was a eerie feeling.. one I'm not to fond of. but sure enough, that ended and Lani and Mykol came home and the chaos started.. lol he's only 6.. and VERY HYPER!! we cooked kabobs for dinner, and watched a movie.. and then i headed to bed.

Tues morning I woke up with the weirdest feeling!! My bottom lip was swollen!! I mean ELEPHANTITIS!! it was sooo gross looking!! my sister said it looked like i had a blister on my lip?? i started to freak out because it started to hurt!! wtf was on my face!! well after i GOOGLED, i found out i had a cold sore! I'VE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE!! i didn't know how to treat it, or what to do? i was soo embarrassed because my lip was HUGE! seriously its all you could see when you looked at my face! I had some time before heading to the airport, so we stopped at walmart and got some remedies.. lol. and then headed to the airport.

I thought my flight left at 1:30. but it didn't leave until 2. so i was there early.. no big deal just a half hour. then i get to the gate, and they tell us because of weather problems in San Francisco.. (go figure) we've been delayed almost 2 hours!! yuck, so I'm stuck in an airport, bored, with this deformity on my face and i just want to go to sleep lol.

FINALLY I get on the plane, we take off, and then I'm home safe in San Francisco. I COULDN'T WAIT TO SEE MY LITTLE GIRL AND MY FUTURE HUBBY! wasn't too thrilled on the fact that i couldn't kiss either of them hello, (cold sores are extremely contagious! but i was happy to be home.

So that was my nice/tiring weekend away.. the one that made me re-confirm all my feelings I've ever felt...
