It is a very nice park with Rollercoasters, Animal shows, animal exhibits, animal encounters (stingrays and dolphins) and much more. we bought season passes so we can frequent there. Amazing.

Ok, so as you may know when you ask Payton her name she has been saying her name was "Bill". Yep, all the time. So tonight, she said out of the blue "My name is Payton (te-to'n)". So we applauded her and to our pure astonishment, she placed her hand on her chest and Bowed. we did it a few times and captured it on video for you. The beginning is an older video of her calling herself "Bill".

WE'VE MOVED TO SAN FRANCISCO!!

YES!! THAT'S RIGHT!! We've finally moved, and no it wasnt to Florida like we had origionally planned. We have moved from Michigan to California, and San Francisco no less. We have been here just over a month, and I have to say I was very reluctant at first. But as the days went by, then weeks, now a whole month, I've found myself warming up to San Fran!! It's crazy though, for those of you who know me. I am a born and raised Southern California girl, Huntington Beach is my hometown, and It was a big change for me to move from H.B. to Michigan. I was in extreme shock at first, but for some reason my heart fell in love with Michigan. I found my family there. The love of my life Jeffery Palumbo. and our daughter Payton! and as much as I do enjoy new adventures, my heart still longs for the Michigan life I had. Granted it has only been 6 weeks. Some can hardly say thats enough time to give San Francisco a chance, but I am trying! We have met some nice people, but have yet to meet any everyday friends. I think that is the hardest part of this whole thing. It's so much harder to meet friends here, Everyone seems to be so content with the circle they have and arent really open to except new comers. Which is fine, i get it. But i would make it a little easier sometimes to have that connection with someone...

But my days are still filled with love, and excitement. Payton will be turning two soon, so we are getting ready to plan her bday party, which is exciting all on its own. Plus we have the Holidays creeping up a little faster than I'd like, and before you know it we're in 2009. Oh my how the time flies! But like I say.. I have to keep an open mind and an open heart to all that we are doing, for it's only to help our family in the future! So for now I enjoy the new experiences we encounter her in San Fran, and I look forward to everything this city has to offer....

Until Next time... Have a great day! Make good things happen! And be good to all people!!

Our Family Trip To the zoo

Yesterday, was a great day! We left early in the morning, heading towards Toledo. We took a family trip to the Toledo Zoo. It was beautiful, and I couldnt have picked a better day. We got to see most of the zoo, in fact I think there was hardly anything we didn't see. Payton had a little too much excitement and fell asleep half way through the day! But she was able to wake up to a nice ice cream cone. She does love her ice cream. I think that her favorite animals were the penguins, (oh wait she was sleeping through that exibit) lol, i know that it was my favorite! I think that her favorite part of the zoo was the park that we stopped to play at. She had so much fun. Jeff enjoyed the day over all, he couldnt pick a particular moment. So it makes me happy to know my family had a great day. I know I did. I couldnt imagine myself doing anything else, I truely enjoy spending time with my family. There's no better way to spend my days..

Until Next time...

Unexpected News

In the last few years, I've grown a very close relationship with my mother. We've both made some mistakes when it really mattered most, but the big picture is that she is my best friend. We talk about everything, even things most wouldn't feel comfortable telling their mother. I came out to Virginia to visit my mother for mother's day, and for the simple fact that I havent seen her since christmas. The first day I arrived here in Virginia, my mother dropped a huge bomb on me. She told me she has cervical cancer. I WAS SHOCKED. I knew that she had to be sick, because she had lost a TON of weight. I never imagined it would be due to cancer. Aftern drilling her with questions, I am very hopeful for the outcome. You see, this isnt the first time she's had to fight off cancer. She's beat it once before when I was too little to remember. So I have no doubt that she can beat it now! She's got a few more weeks of chemo treatments and then it's on the the next step if it's not gone by then. So all I ask is that you please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She needs our support, and our love! Thanks in advance...

Until next time...

Flying with a 16 month old

Well today is the day me and Payton are flying to Virginia, to visit my mother of course. Our flight was to leave at 6:05 this morning. Not only did I wake up late, we completely missed our flight. I was so upset! Luckily they had us on the very next flight out, which was only 2 hours later. So it wasn’t soo bad. That was until we got to the O’Hare airport in Chicago. You see that’s where our layover was for an hour. But it took me forty minutes just to get to our gate. Most of the time I have Payton’s stroller with me, but I figure this time it would be easier to just have her walk while she held my hand. BOY WAS I WRONG. She kept falling down, getting in someone’s way, wanting me to pick her up, and then put her down. She probably dropped her blanket at least 5 times. It just got so hard. I was frustrated about the way the day was started, and then now with the difficulties I was having with Payton. But to be honest and fair, she has been an absolute angel on both flights. On the First there was a little boy about a month younger than her in the very next row ahead of us, so they were able to keep each other occupied. And then on the connecting flight to Richmond, She passed out before we ever took off!! And she didn’t wake up until just before we landed. I truly have been blessed today. The last time we were on a plane was in February of this year, and I didn’t even recognize my own child, she was horrible. She cried ¾ of both the flights. I just didn’t know what to do. So I have to say I am much happier this time around!! For all those mothers out there, who are dreading taking their child on a plane, I just have to say it will be easier to do it at a young age, while it’s still free too! But just go for it, sometimes they might be the demon child you’ve never seen before, or they can surprise you and just give you the long needed break you deserve! Either way, Keep your head, spirit, and energy high! It makes for a positive day!

Today was a wonderful day!

It was so gorgeous outside today! My neighbors kids and my daughter Payton were outside 3/4 of the day today! We had tons of fun, we played with chalk, went for walks. Payton even chased me around as if she were a puppy. Its amazing how often this sweet 16 month old little girl can put a smile on my face. Even the way she tells me no sometimes makes me smile. We dont have to do much outside for her to be easily amused. Even if it's just laying in the grass picking dandilions. I know it sounds corny, and something you'd probably read in a book, or even see on tv; but this little girl really brings soo much joy to my world.
